Taxi Cab Fire at Rockefeller Center

A taxi cab caught fire in Midtown Manhattan Tuesday afternoon, sending flames shooting into the air above bustling Rockefeller Center. You can see a WNBC slide show of the taxi fire here.

It's unclear how the cab caught fire and exploded, but we do know that there were several NBC employees on the scene snapping photos including Consumer Reporter Asa Aarons, Government Affairs Reporter Melissa Russo and NBC Agency employee Jon Accarrino!

It's unclear if anyone was injured.
